Wendy Lieber

Wendy Lieber is the president of Athena Marketing, one of South Florida’s leading strategic marketing firms.  Established in 2001, Athena Marketing works with small to medium sized companies on a regional as well as global basis helping them develop their overall marketing strategy, implementing it, measuring results and refining as necessary.   Wendy helps clients figure out their “why” and then communicate that effectively to target audiences.  Clients include companies such as Condo.com, Decimal Engineering and Vertical Storage Solutions.

Wendy started her career heading up marketing and product development for  several mid-market companies including Loren Industries and Tasco Worldwide.  Wendy has successfully launched hundreds of products into the marketplace in the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America and worked with major retailers and distribution channels worldwide including WalMart, Target, Canadian Tire, Dicks and Dixons to name a few.  While working at Tasco Worldwide, which was owned by a private equity group, she became fascinated with that side of the business and began consulting with private equity groups on how to use marketing to increase the exit value multiple.  It was during that time, that she realized her true passion was entrepreneurship and creating and growing businesses.  Wendy frequently invests and serves as an advisor to early and middle stage ventures which have included companies such as Aquabilt, Vertical Storage Solutions and Shield Technology.

Wendy graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors in Marketing and went on to get her MBA from Nova Southeastern University.  Wendy is the co-creator of BIG (Books Inspire Growth) Breakfast, a monthly learning event for business owners.  Each month, Wendy brings in a nationally known author to discuss relevant business topics to help business owners keep learning and growing. She is a frequent contributor to several business publications and blogs including the Hollywood Gazette.  Wendy is a member of EO (Entrepreneurs Organization)Accelerator where she is not only a participant but also the board chair for the organization.   She proudly serves on the Board of Trustees for Women in Distress after being an active board member for over 7 years to this incredible organization.  In addition to her passion for business and entrepreneurship, she is an avid reader, loves to cook and practice CrossFit.  To reach Wendy, email her at wendy@athena-marketing.com, follow her on Twitter at @wendylieber or read her blog.
